Third Friday Gallery Walk
The Oak Park Arts District galleries, co-operatives, studios and social clubs are open for special events from 6 – 10 pm on the Third Friday of the month. Exhibitions often revolve around a theme chosen by individual gallery owners or members. Enjoy live music and libations or get your creative juices flowing with an evening workshop. Several of our unique shops and boutiques keep late hours and host creative events on Third Friday evenings as well. Participating studios include Whatever Comes to Mind Studio, Expressions Graphics, Dancing Krow Studio and Social Club, Gallery PINK and Buzz Cafe. Dancing Krow Studio stages a Third Saturday event. What’s Blooming on Harrison Street
This family-oriented May event has highlighted the District since 1999. What’s Blooming has artist demonstrations, live music, dance performances and an art fair featuring select guest artists and local crafts people. In 2020, What’s Blooming will be held on Saturday, May 16th. What’s Blooming takes over Harrison Street, from Cuyler Avenue to Humphrey, with the art fair and other Family Fun Activities including a children’s carnival, live music, dance, craft demonstrations and hands-on workshops. The festival will begin at 11 am with the art fair running until 7 pm. Music continues at the Taylor Avenue Beer Garden and Main Stage until 9 pm.

Give the gift of happiness every holiday season. Indulge in the Artistic in the Oak Park Arts District. The annual Holiday Lights celebration kicks off on the Third Friday in November with special seasonal events within the studios, shops, galleries and eateries continuing through December.
